In 1990, Michael’s Concerto For Electric Guitar and Orchestra, premiered as part of Eric Clapton’s 24 Nights residency at the Royal Albert Hall.
In 1991, they went back for more…
The series of 42 concert nights each focused on either blues, rock or orchestra. On the Orchestral nights, Michael conducted the National Philharmonic Orchestra alongside an epic band line up. His Concerto was performed alongside 14 Michael’s orchestral arrangements of Eric’s songs and their earliest major collaboration, “Edge of Darkness”.
