Please place your request for scores in this thread so a record can be kept of the scores requested and information can be kept together about where to get them or if they are even available.
Dorian? Can you help with this please? Any resources, links or urls will be appreciated. Thanks.

To those of you who are interested in locating scores of Michael's works--
Time permitting, you will be personally contacted via PM or e-mail and appropriately directed to a possible next step. While this cannot guarantee that you will find what you are seeking, it nevertheless is likely to help you along in your quests. Please be a little patient at times...I promise to try and get to your individual requests as soon as possible.

If you would be so kind, the manuscript scores that I am interested in procuring are of Herr Maestro's "Concert Hall" works: Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra; Concerto for Electric Guitar, Rock Band, and Orchestra; and The New Moon in the Old Moon's Arms.
BTW: when I first read that Kamen had accepted the commission to compose what would be "The New Moon...", it was billed as "The Millennial Symphony" (no pressure there!), but when the CD was released, it was billed as a Symphonic Poem instead of a Symphony. When in the process did Kamen's view of the work go from "I'm writing a symphony" to "Nah, it's really more of a symphonic poem"? Considering what had come before in the 20th Century, why not call it a Symphony? I know, off topic, but stream of consciousness... And, it's a quesiton I've had since I obtained the CD.
Thank you in advance. Heck, thanks for reading this far.

I know its a somewhat obscure piece, but id like to get the sheet music to Rowena's Theme from Mr. Hollands Opus.
It moves me every time i hear it, and the search to date has been fruitless. /sigh

Please contact me first so I know where to reach you and try to help you get the answer to your question.

Hello!
I like very much the Last Action Hero by the Great Michael Kamen: in my opinion his best score. Of course I have the CD by Columbia in my collection but really it is not enough for me: I’ d like very much to get a complete release.
Also how much do I have to wait before an official release of Highlander? Another excellent work.
All the best
Nicola

I would really like to find the sheet music for Michael Kamen's concerto for saxophone. I have been waiting for sheet music for that piece since the Sanborn recording was released in 1991. I actually had a short email exchange with Michael about it in the mid-late 90's, in which I was told a sheet music publication was forthcoming, but have never seen it come to light.
Thanks

I would like the Conductor Score/Sheet Music for as much of the Robin Hood Prince of the Thieves soundtrack that I can get my hands on. One of my favorite scores; I remember getting the soundtrack on cassette tape when I was 10 years old and now I would like to see what I have been listening to all these years!
Even if I could get the rest of overture I would be very happy (i got the 2 pages that are posted online).
My email is tborquez@msn.com and I am looking forward to hearing from you! |

Dorian:
Three years ago (really, that long ago?) you provided me with an e-mail address in order to contact Kamen's agent concerning my above request. After sending am initial inquiry that was responded to, I sent two further e-mails (a week and a month later), but they were for naught.
I thought it might be time to try again...
The scores (full orchestral sheet music) I am hoping to procure are Concerto for Saxophone and Orchestra; Concerto for Electric Guitar, Rock Band, and Orchestra; and The New Moon in the Old Moon's Arms.
Thank you for your continued efforts.
Hope all is well. |

Sorry for the double post..... I forgot to include my email address
I am very interested in acquiring the sheet music for the Concerto for Saxophone (piano or orchestra versions are both fine!)
I have been trying for a VERY long time and always seem to come up dry... I first heard the concerto in 1992 after discovering it in a cut away (discount) bin. It was the second CD I had ever purchased.
If it were possible to wear out a CD, this one would have been the first! There is nothing about it which does not exude the love of live and the vitality of the human spirit. Ever since my first hearing, I have wanted the score.
Much like Bach, I firmly believe that this work would be beautiful on any instrument on which it was played.
Thanks for this section and this website!!!!!

Anxiously awaiting your email! |

Hey!
I've been listening to Metallica for a while now and I was really, really blown away when I heard the S&M album. I mean, it was on repeat for dayz, lol. And I find it better than Deep Purple's or Pink Floyd's, Steve Vai's or Malmsteen's albums with orchestra and I really enjoy this one because of the marvelous work of Maestro Kamen (RIP).
Is it possible to get the whole orchestra score for S&M? That would be like awesome
E-mail: silviu_0215@yahoo.com
Thank you,
Eddie |

Looking for the full score to the Saxophone Concierto. My son is a fantastic sax player and bemoans the lack of good orchestral literature for his chosen instrument (or the instrument that chose him :-). Anyway, I would be grateful for any assistance as this is a wonderful piece that should be played more. If the score is only in electronic format (pdf, Finale or Sibelius - even raw midi) I can work with those formats as well.
Sincerely,
Graham Metcalfe |

Hello. I am new to the site, but a long time fan of Mr. Kamen's work. My favorite score that he composed is 'Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.' I'm sure I'm not the only person inquiring about this, and I haven't read through all the threads. But I wondered if anyone had a PROMO copy of the complete score (if it exists) or if there were any preliminary plans to officially release a complete score? Thanks in advance, and forgive me if I have breached any kind of protocol in this posting.

I'm interested in getting the conductor score for the Metallica song "Nothing Else Matters" from the S&M symphony. It is, in my opinion, the best version of the piece every performed.
